National Intercounties Skeet
 
Firstly a big thank you from myself & Steve to the shooters (& their supporters) who turned out to shoot for the county. The event was very enjoyable & there was a definite buzz around the ground with many enjoying the craic & general banter of the day before & after shooting.
 
We would like to think that most newcomers enjoyed the event looking at the smiles & sighs of relief as they walked away from the last range.
 
The junior team all shooting their first competition & none having skeet as their first discipline shot well & came fifth. The ladies team despite only one member being an occasional skeet shooter came a very creditable third. The vets all rose to the occasion & also came in at third place.
 
I would like to congratulate these shooters, they should all have smiles on their faces when they look at the strong competition they were up against & realise how very well they performed.
 
On to the seniors, we unfortunately had a bit of a wobbly start but persevered & ended up  in fifth out of the seventeen teams that entered, only six targets off the winning score. So a big thank you to our fellow team members.
 
We hope everyone involved enjoyed the event and will be receptive to the phone calls you will all definitely be receiving next season.
