COMMITTEE MEMEBERS IN ATTENDANCE:-
PRESENT: Alfie Newman (AN), Stella Hales (SH), Gary Baldock (GB), and Johnny Walker (JW)
APOLOGIES: Gordon Lee (GL), Sarah Quinn (SQ) and Dave Amos (DA)
APPROVAL OF DRAFT MINUTES:
The draft Minutes of the Meeting held on the 25th May, 2010 were approved by AN and seconded by GB.
TREASURERS REPORT:
The current balance is 1,740.31, less 9.00p for beverages.
MATTERS ARISING:
Nigel Barnes has confirmed that he is unfortunately unable to attend the OSK, but can organize a team, which we would like him to do.
GB has taken badges and trophies for 1.08.10. AN to action emailing DA to find out whether we need to deliver the badges and trophies for the Double Rise Championships on the 22nd August or whether he will collect them from the next meeting.
At present there is no team arranged for the Universal Trench, but AN will ask Timmy Martin if he could possibly organize a team, as a team of some sort is better than no team at all.
TROPHIES:
It was decided that the Ladies Single Barrel trophy has to be replaced, AN to action this, as it is owed to Tanya Kemsley.
AN asked The Ramada if we had possibly left a shield there after our last meeting, they said they would check lost property and let him know the following day.
AN to email Sandie Buckler to find out what wording is needed, to put on the new Kent English Sporting Shield/trophy.
JW suggested putting wording on the slips that we get signed by the receiver of trophies - that in the event of loss or damage they will pay for a replacement new one, seconded by SH.
DINNER DANCE:
We discussed what type of entertainment we should have at this year’s dinner dance. The general consensus is that, should it be a band it needs to be a younger one, or for a change possibly a comedian. Pricing needs to be looked at and whatever we decide to do, one of the Committee Members needs to have seen them performing.
