Kent CPSA Committee Meeting
On Monday 10th August, 2009 at The Ramada Hotel

COMMITTEE MEMEBERS IN ATTENDANCE:-

PRESENT: Alfie Newman (AN), Johnny Walkers (JW),  Sarah Quinn (SQ), Richard Moate (RM)  Stella Hales (SH) Gordon Lee (GL) and Dave Amos (DA)

APOLOGIES:  Non given

ABSENT: Karen Husk (KH)

APPROVAL OF DRAFT MINUTES:

The draft Minutes of the Meeting held on the 1st July 2009 were approved by SQ and seconded by JW.

TREASURERS REPORT:

Requests for refunds of entry fees have been made and given to:-

Ollie Wellard for Kent Non Toxic Skeet  28.00

Frankie Clark for Kent All Rounder 34.00

Lewis Ballantyne for two entries 69.00.

Income from Non toxic levies is 80.00 and Dartford levies are 56.00.

It was agreed that KCPSA  should pay for engraving on Kent Team trophies and therefore DA  was refunded 19.00.  The bank balance is 2050.42p.

MATTERS ARISING:

The English Sporting Championship high gun situation was resolved, when Mr. French offered to step down to veterans class winner  and James Hirst becomes junior champion.  JW to action contacting J. Hirst as he may not know he is the winner.

There have been no British Open Sponsorship requests as yet.  JW suggests a receipt to be collected and we can then decide whether to sponsor part or all of requested refunds.  Jamie Brightman has kindly offered to take out a junior  for a free possible lesson/cartridges.

A draft letter was  approved by all the Committee to be sent to grounds regarding 2010 Championship competitions.  Letters are to be hand delivered to all registered home county clubs, in order that they can request which championship events they wish to hold.  If in the event that nobody wishes to hold an event ,it will then be offered to other grounds outside of Kent.

Dinner and Dance 2009

AN has made an excellent job of posters and tickets for the dinner dance. 

Posters are to be hand delivered by:-

SQ   Woolgrowers, GL Dartford and Potters, DA Maylands and gun shop, JW Kingsferry, AN West Kent, John Fosey and Abbey, SH Southdown and AN to post remaining.

Each Committee member has tickets to sell.  Prizes are required to auction off and raffle so each member to action groveling to shops etc.  JW to act as Auctioneer volunteered by SH and seconded by SQ.

The band “Under Cover” are to replace Vanilla Ransom who have reluctantly had to withdraw.

CHAMPIONSHIPS:

Intercounties Universal Trench team required GL to action organising a team. DA to action finding a DTL team and SH to action organising a team for FITASC.

TROPHY MANAGEMENT:

DA to take single barrel badges to Maylands and SH to take FITASC badges to Southdown.

ANY OTHER BUSINESS:

Chairmanship:-  AN  wishes to relinquish Chairmanship at the next AGM.  No other committee member put themselves forward for the position.
