Kent CPSA Committee Meeting
      12TH January,  2010 at The Ramada Hotel

COMMITTEE MEMEBERS IN ATTENDANCE:-

PRESENT: Alfie Newman (AN), Johnny Walkers (JW),  Sarah Quinn (SQ), Richard Moate (RM) and Stella Hales (SH) and David Amos (DA)

ABSENT: Karen Husk (KH)

APOLOGIES: Gordon Lee   (GL)

 APPROVAL OF DRAFT MINUTES:

The draft Minutes of the Meeting held on the  3rd November, 2009  were approved by AN and seconded by JW.

TREASURERS REPORT:

The present balance stands at 2,336.90 pounds.  The dinner dance raised approximately 100.00 pound short of last year’s event.

MATTERS ARISING:

The venue for this year’s AGM needs to be booked and AN will action this.  It has been decided to try and book the Angel Centre again for late February or early March.

Mrs. Newman has kindly agreed to take care of the catering as she is qualified.

TROPHY MANAGEMENT:

RM proposed that the committee buy a cabinet and keep all championship cups. The KCPSA would have the cup engraved with the winners name and the winner would receive a small trophy and/or badge which they would keep forever.  JW  proposes speaking to Basil George for badges and will keep his eyes open for roughly pricing a cabinet.  AN proposed keeping a book of winners with the cabinet and the idea should be proposed at the AGM.  It was felt that in the long run it would cost a lot less to have the engraving done than keep replacing the lost or non returned trophies.

 JW to action speaking to GL regarding promised colt trophies.

Names for SHOOTER OF THE YEAR  nominations to be handed in at the next meeting. Committee put your thinking caps on, not only for the best shooter, but perhaps the best achievement by a shooter.

DA proposes that the Double Rise be kept a Maylands as there are considerably more entrants when it is held there.

REPRESENTATIVES: 

Representative for each discipline to be decided at the next meeting.   The rep. would be in charge of trophies, target correctness and keeping data of championship winners etc.

DATE OF NEXT MEETING  16th February,  2010 AT THE RAMADA – 7:00 p.m.
