Kent CPSA Committee Meeting
On Wednesday 23rd September 2009, at The Ramada Hotel

COMMITTEE MEMEBERS IN ATTENDANCE:-

PRESENT: Alfie Newman (AN), Johnny Walkers (JW), Karen Husk (KH), Sarah Quinn (SQ), and Stella Hales (SH), Gordon Lee (GL)

APOLOGIES: Richard Moate (RM)

ABSENT: Ron Smith (RS) and David Amos (DA)

APPROVAL OF DRAFT MINUTES:

The draft Minutes of the Meeting held on the 10th August, 2009 were approved by AN and seconded by KH.

TREASURERS REPORT:

Although RM was not present he had sent in money and unsold tickets for the dinner dance.

41.00p and Nathan Hales  58.00p for the British Open Sporting.  Postage costs of 1.41p were

MATTERS ARISING:

SQ to action finding a venue for the AGM for a date around March time.  We will wait for the CPSA to disclose dates for championships first.  It was felt that a venue around the Maidstone  area would be best for a total cost of around 200.00p.  AN suggested his wife to supply food for the evening, SH volunteered to help.

SHOOTER OF THE YEAR:  Will be decided at the next meeting AN seconded by JW.

Dinner and Dance 2009:

AN has found out that we can get into the Hop Farm from midday on the 13th November to decorate and organize the room and let the band, Under Cover, in to set up.

SH to action speaking to John Forsey for a donation for prizes for raffle or auction.

KH to action organizing prize or prizes from Kent Woolgrowers.

Trophy Management:

AN has ordered the team and individual badges for the 2009 championships.  AN to also action  putting on the website about return of trophies.  All Clubs are required to return any badges so that they can be given out at the AGM.  

Any Other Business:

AN    would like to step down from the Chairmanship.  No other Committee Member  has stepped up to offer to take over, although JW  did hint at sharing the duties with AN.

SQ to action booking Chopstick and Bowl, early December for our Christmas gathering on a Friday evening.
