It is with regret that I report the loss, after a short illness, of John Vaughan. He was well known in North of England shooting circles as a DTL shooter, mainly at East Yorkshire Gun Club, and shooting all over the country with the West Yorkshire Police Team. Following heart surgery in 2007 he had to give up shooting, but continued his involvement with the sport he loved through refereeing and corporate coaching. An accomplished fisherman, pigeon and game shooter, beater and picker-up, he was an all-round countryman and the world is worse for his passing. Our sympathies lie with his wife, Anne, his children and grand-children.
