Celebrating Success

Top Essex and International shot Stuart Clarke has had a fantastic year in 2018 representing England and GB in 3 sporting disciplines. This year he has represented Great Britain at the world FITASC, European FITASC and at the World compak championships.

He has also represented England at the sporting home internationals and the FITASC home internationals. Superb achievements in themselves, but also coming away with 4 team gold medals and 1 silver. Many congratulations Stuart, proving yet again that you're still a world class shooter.

Essex FITASC Championship - 25/26 November

On a bright but chilly day at Eriswell the county FITASC competitors we were well catered for with targets set by John Dyson. Oliver Wilde’s 90 set the early pace but this was short-lived as Stuart Clarke returned a 93 later equaled by Chris Orrin who won the championship with Stuart taking the vets title. It was a great day for June Speakman who shot a marvelous 85 for the Ladies’ title. John Price shot 91 for the vets title and Jerry Bland won the supervets with 82.

A blustery weekend of sunshine and showers faced competitors at Hepworth Hall.

Luke Riddington shot a fine 91 and looked a shoe-in for the title until the late entry of Oliver Wilde who shot a magnificent 92 to become Essex FITASC Sporting Champion – truly great shooting in the conditions and just as great to see Oliver make this breakthrough.

Elsewhere Tracy Riddington took Ladies on 82, John Price secured Vets after a shoot off with Frank Haigh, Zak Palmer was top Junior and Callan Greenfield was awarded the Colt title.

In line with other FSP events it was decided to introduce a Super-Vet Category for the first time and this title went to Jerry Bland.
