August Pull! Report - 2019

6-7 April: England ABT Team Selection Nuthampstead SG After a difficult first day Elise Dixon managed 154 over the two days. William Gilbert managed to score 183 which placed William first in Colts and 10 overall. Richard Gilbert managed to finish on 181 which gave him third in Veterans and joint fourth in B Class.

 

21 April: Norfolk Sporting Championship, Eriswell Lodge The championship was well attended with over 200 shooters in attendance over the Easter Sunday. This year’s champion is Duane Morley who managed an impressive 96. Ladies HG was Georgia Tilson with 74, Veterans HG was Ian Hallwood with 91 and Juniors went to Charlie Soanes. Audrey Smith from the Norfolk committee organised and ran a raffle on the day which raised £250 towards good causes. A big thank you to everyone who donated prizes and bought tickets. We would also like to say a big thank you to Stuart and all the team at Eriswell Lodge for hosting this year’s championship.

 

27 April: Lol Pinch Memorial, Nottingham & District Gun Club Congratulations to Russell Houghton who won the 100 DTL Lol Pinch Memorial competition. Russell managed to win this competition against a lot of top competitors with a splendid 100/296.

 

11-12 May: Norfolk Skeet Championship, The Priory CTC The shoot was well supported with overall champion John Glover scoring the perfect score of a 100 straight to take this years title! Trevor Frammingham was only a single target behind which him the veterans title. The ladies champion is Georgia Tillson with a good 95 and Junior Champion was Archie Stannard with an excellent 98. Well done to all that shot and also a big thank you to the Priory for hosting a very well run and successful shoot.

 

18 May: Norfolk Olympic Skeet Well done to Scott Buck for winning for the second year running. He was run to the line by Clive Johnson but Scott managed to take the title with his 73 over Clive’s 71. We would like to thank the Priory CTC for running this championship.

 

19 May : East Midlands Sporting, Barrow Sporting Clays With an attendance of over 200 competitors. Mark Goddard scored a maximum 100 straight which is a rarity at sporting. Sadly he had to settle for Runner-up to eventual champion Paul Simpson of Suffolk after a shoot-off. Congratulations to Susan Hallwood who managed to finish Runner-up in Ladies and to Charlie Soanes who finished third in Juniors.

 

19 May: Norfolk DTL Championship, The Priory CTC Richard Gilbert won the overall, Veterans and Basil Pearce Memorial with a score of 100/295. Junior HG was William Gilbert with a new PB. of 98/284, Ladies HG was Izzy Thurnell with a score of 96/282. A special mention goes to Colt William Nicholas who has only been shooting for just over a year. He scored an excellent 86/250 in only his second DTL Reg shoot. Congratulations to the winners and well done to all who competed. Thank you once again to The Priory for being such wonderful hosts.

 

18-19 May: England Skeet Selection, Nothampton Shooting ground Congratulations to Junior Archy Stannard who scored an amazing 198/200 to top the Juniors.
