Norfolk FITASC Championship 2022

Norfolk FITASC Championship 2022

Today we had our first county championship of the year which was the Norfolk FITASC. This was held over 2 days and was combined with the @Suffolk CPSA and Cambridgeshire CPSA championships.

I was lucky enough to watch the last few squads on the Sunday shoot the 4 different layouts. The weather was good with bright intervals of sunshine over the course of the weekend.

The corner layout appeared to be the deciding layout which had some testing targets once you were shooting from the 2nd and 3rd stands. The A and B targets on this layout were a left to right quartering away standard and midi which must have been 55 - 60 yards out.

There was also a pink standard target which was a quartering away right to left on stand 2 and changed to a challenging right to left crosser on stand 3 which left late was a challenging target. The targets on this layout in my opinion were so great challenging targets for a FITASC layout.

The course as a whole had a good range of targets with several straights scored thought out the weekend with the overall high gun scoring 93/100 which was Suffolks Chris Baker.

This years Norfolk FITASC champion is Carson Revell who managed a good 91/100 where he was 2 targets clear of joint runners up Tim Sayer, Jonathan Ball & Simon Peacock who all managed 89/100.

The Norfolk Veteran title goes to Tim Sayer with his score of 89/100. Tim managed to shoot two 25 straights but unfortunately had a tough time on his last layout with a 17 otherwise Tim could have taken both the senior and veterans titles. Tim managed to take the veterans trophy away from John Dyson who was just 3 targets shy of Tim’s score.

The ladies champion is the lovely Heather Pointer with her score of 74/100 and this years junior champion is Jamie Goddard with his score of 54/100.

We would like to say a massive thank you to Eriswell Lodge for holding this championship for the Norfolk CPSA and for putting on a good course for this championship. We would also like to say thank you to all the staff and referees for making this shoot run so smoothly.
