Norfolk All Round 2023
Norfolk All Round & Dennis Rudd Memorial
The Norfolk All Round & Dennis Rudd Memorial was held today at The Priory Clay Target Centre where the predicted rain luckily never materialised.
The All Round consisted of 25 single barrel (DTL), 25 Automatic Ball Trap, 25 Skeet followed by 25 sporting. The sporting stand consisted of a simultaneous pair from left to right, stand 2 had a single full use target followed by 4 pairs of a going away teal followed by a left to right crossing target. The single target was a medium range quartering in crosser from left to right which roughly dropped 40 yards away. The last sporting stand had an orange right to left battue followed on report by a right to left crosser.
This years Norfolk champion is David Gooding with a fantastic score of 93/100 to take the title for the second time in this disciplines history. Close behind was Jason Matthewson with a great score of 90/100.
Veterans was also won by recently turned veteran David Gooding who was shocked to find out he is now in the veterans category. I have to admit that I didn’t believe it either! Other notable scores in veteran’s category: Karl Hoolhouse 85/100, Paul Owen 84/100, Mark Trett 84/100, Simon Owen 83/100
Ladies was won by Alison Coupe with her the only ladies entrant unfortunately on the day.
The junior’s category had 3 entrants with the exceptionally talented William Gilbert taking the junior’s title with 84/100. The other juniors were Rhys Dixon 57/100 and William Nicholas.
We would like to thank all the ground staff and referees at The Priory CTC for yet another smoothly run event. Thank you also to all the shooters who attended our county championship and to those who were able to stay till the end for the presentation.
Our next championship is next weekend where it’s a double event of Automatic Ball Trap and Double Rise on the 30th April at The Priory CTC. Please get booked in for this big double trap discipline date.
