Norfolk Skeet Doubles 2017

The Norfolk Skeet Doubles was held on the 11th June 2017 at Eriswell Lodge with an entry of 22 shooters in attendance. We had a strong Suffolk support with many of the entries being regulars to Eriswell Lodge who have a great history of holding skeet disciplines over the years with the former ground name of Lakenheath CTC. Eriswell Lodge has been established for a few years now and is a great place for anyone want to get regular practice and also caters for a Wednesday night skeet competition. 

 

The first few squads of the day produced a great score from Suffolk shooter Darren Parsons who managed to shoot 99/100 which is no mean feat at skeet doubles. This years Norfolk champion though had to hold off several Norfolk shooters to claim there first county title with 2 targets seperating the top 4 scores. This years Norfolk Skeet Doubles champion is John Hall who managed to score 95/100 to take his first county title. Close behind was Ian Hallwood 94, John Glover 93 and Steven Smith 93.

 

Unfortunatly there are no other trophies avaliable for the Norfolk Skeet Doubles for Veterans, Ladies and Juniors but this is something that I will take back to the committee to discuss at our next meeting. The points are still awarded for the supreme championship from this shoot regardless. We also had no Ladies or Junior entries. 

 

We would like to to take the time to thank Eriswell Lodge for hosting this shoot for us even though we were hoping for a bigger turnout from Norfolk shooters. I would also like to thank all the shooters who shot this years championship because without you then these minor disciplines would not be possible.
