Norfolk Sporting Championship

This years Norfolk Sporting Championship was held at Mid Norfolk Shooting Ground on the 25th August with an entry of 105 shooters in attendance. We were unlucky to have a few other grounds in the local area who held fixtures that clashed on the same date but still good to get over the 100 mark.

This years Norfolk Sporting Champion is Duane Morley who managed to score an impressive 97/100 to take the win by a single clay over Mark Goddard on 96/100. Over noticable scores were from T. Hannant who managed to take B class with an incredible 93/100, David Gooding 93/100, and Micky Briggs with 92/100.

The Veterans title was won by Micky Briggs with his incredible 92/100 which was just enough to take the title by a single clay over Tony Shelton on 91/100 and last years Norfolk Sporting Champion Ian Hallwood on 90/100.

The Ladies title was won by Susan Hallwood with her score of 74/100 enough to take the title with S. Sexton on 69/100 close behind. Susan managed to regain her Ladies crown after losing out to the absent G. Tillson last yeat which takes her total to 12 times that Susan has won this title since 1995. Well done Susan.

In the Juniors we had George Townsend take the Juniors title again with an impressive 87/100 to take the title once more with T. Durrant and H. Page not far away on 77 and 75 respectivly.

We would like to thank all the shooter who attanded this years championship and hope to see you all again next year. We would like to thank Mid Norfolk Shooting Ground for holding this championship as well.
