North Region ABT Team – Selection Process Update 2026

Firstly, I want to apologise for the clash between the final North Region selection shoot and the first National Selection shoot. I appreciate this has caused difficulties for some shooters and I'm sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.

Following a review of the selection process, and to ensure North Region fields the strongest possible team at the English Open, we have updated the selection criteria for this year as follows:

Selection Criteria

To be considered for the North Region ABT team you must be booked on and shooting the English Open.

Selection will be made on the following basis:

1. Shooters who have attended at least one North Region selection shoot will be considered first however,
    
2. The ABT Team Manager reserves the right to select additional shooters who are attending the English Open, based on recent form, competition experience, and overall consistency

This flexibility has been introduced to ensure we are always able to field a full and competitive team, and to allow the Team Manager to make decisions in the best interests of the region.

Please notify the Team Manager If you are planning to attend the English Open, please let John Leightley know as soon as possible, as the team must be submitted to the CPSA and the ground prior to the shoot. Contact details can be found on the North Region Website.
