First NoE Skeet Selection - Bywell

 

The weather was extremely kind for the opening competition - no wind, no rain and surprisingly, for Bywell no snow, which has been known!

 

Over 40 entrants took to the ranges and produced some good scores. Well done to Steve Leppington who took high gun with a fine 99 (and the prize money!!). Close on his heels was Garry Cooke, J. T. Tones, Paul Foster and S. Fitzgerald with 98. There were a string of 97’s and 96’s, so it’s already looking like we will have a strong senior team this year.

 

There was also a good turnout by the ladies. Sue Barratt took the lead with 95 closely followed by Holly Pennington on 94, Chris Lancaster 93, Liz Shanks 92 and new young colt, B Clarey with 91.

 

It was also great to welcome Cain Stewart to English skeet. Aged just 13 he shot a very credible 87 in this, his first registered competition. well done - I think we will be seeing a lot more of this young gun!
