First DTL North of England Selection Shoot

On Sunday 26^th March at Spennymoor Gun club the weather couldn’t have been better. The sun was shining and there was no wind about. The prefect weather conditions for Down The Line. There was a big turnout for the selection shoot and it was well supported by fellow shooters. There were some fantastic scores. The winners of the shoot were RL Elwell and PC Frankland with 100/299 with a close runner up from T Robinson with 100/298.

I would like to mention that there were very low numbers of Juniors who shot on the day. So if you know any junior who would like the opportunity to shoot for the north of England at the English Open please bring them to three of the selection shoots. It would be a fantastic way of getting more juniors to take part in the DTL.  

At this present moment in time there are still 4 selection shoots to take place:-

• Bywell – Sunday 2^nd April
• Beverly – Sunday 23^rd April
• Penrith – Sunday 7^th May
• NOE – Sunday 14^th May

So if you would like the opportunity to be part of the North of England Team at the English Open on 11^th June at Bywell. Please come to 3 of the selection shoots so you will be in the running of been selected.
