A warm spring day welcomed 142 competitors with 16 north region shooters making the long journey south to the fabulous South Down Gun Club, Findon, West Sussex, for the English Open Compak and GB selection shoot on 26/03/17. Glenn Hunt made it worthwhile taking the veteran’s Gold with an excellent 92ex100, following on from his win at the Worlds last year, Glenn now holds World, British and the English titles in Compak Sporting. Josh Bridges also started the season with promise taking Bronze in the junior’s category shooting 90ex100. Congratulations to all of the northern shooters who took part with some strong scores, may it continue for the rest of the season.

Leading on from this Glen has successfully retained his place on the Great Britain team after the GB team selection shoot at Orston.
