2018 Selection Procedures.

In a couple of days time (1st Feb) The CPSA will start taking bookings for the Major Championships this year.
 
With that in mind may I remind the shooters taking part in this year's North Region selection shoots, if you are to make a place on the NoE team(s) you must be booked onto the appropriate championship.
 
It is responsibility to book a place at these championship. The committee do NOT book or reserve places, they simply ensure the team has been selected fairly and has been properly notified to the CPSA.
 
Book your place(s) early to avoid disappointment.
 
With that in mind I will list the selection procedures below:
 
DTL.
The date and venues for this year’s selection shoots are as follows:
11/3/18 – SPENNYMOOR AND DISTRICT GC
18/3/18 – BYWELL SG 
29/4/18 – BEVERLEY CTC
13/5/18 - PENRITH AND DISTRICT GC
3/6/18 - NORTH OF ENGLAND CTC
The team will consist of 10 seniors, 3 ladies, 3 veterans and 3 juniors and team members will be selected using their best 2 scores from the above 5 selection shoots.
The North of England team will be expected to represent the region at the English Open DTL at Bywell Shooting Ground on 17th June 2018.
Selection forms will be available at each of the selection shoots.

English Sporting
 
Team Size: 10 Seniors (3 reserves), 3 Ladies (2 reserves), 3 Juniors (2 reserves), 3 Veterans (2 reserves).
Complete the application form with your three lowest point scores from the five 100 target selection shoots below. Points are calculated from the North Region High Gun of the event, with one point being incurred for every target less than the winning score. Selection will be decided by points scored – the shooters with the lowest point scores making the team. In the event of a tie we will use your score from the last selection shoot on the calendar.
To represent the North Region team, you must reside in the North Region and be a fully paid CPSA member at the time of the British Open and throughout the selection process.
Application forms will be available at the selection shoots and also online at the North Region website.

Bywell 21st & 22nd April
Blackpool 27th May
Beverley 17th June
Oak Lodge 22nd July
 
English Skeet
The North of England Skeet Team will consist of 10 (5) x Seniors, 3 (2) x Ladies, 3 (2) x Vets, 3 (2) x Juniors. Selection procedure consists of best 3 scores to count from the following 4 shoots:-
Beverley 8th April, Bywell 6th May, NOECTC 3rd June, NOECTC 15thJuly
Please note you must also be available to shoot as a member of the team at the
BRITISH OPEN, NORTHAMPTON GC on 17th 18th or 19th August.
Successfully selected team members are required to book & pay for their own entries. They will also receive a cloth badge & polo shirt courtesy of Steve Smiths Shooting Ground, Newcastle. An application form will be available at the selection shoots.
 
National Inter-Counties Skeet
 
The individual County Teams will consist of 6 (5) x Seniors, 3 (2) x Ladies, 3 (2) x Vets, 3 (2) x Juniors. Selection procedure consists of 3 x 100 registered scores shot from any ground between 1st October 2017 and 30th June 2018.
 Please complete your details to be considered for a team place for either or both of the above events. For any further details or to forward your registered scores, contact Liz Shanks (N of E Skeet Manager). Scores must be received no later than 8th July 2018 (Signing in form available at all 4 North of England Team selection shoots)
