Skeet Doubles, County and Regional Championships.

The first skeet competition for 2018 kicked off with the skeet doubles, at the North of England ground on Sunday 11th March, turnout wasn’t too bad and the weather, after the atrocious conditions of the previous week, was a balmy 8-10 degrees with little to no wind.

This may have contributed to 2 x excellent 100 straights being put in by Gary Cooke and Steve Leppington (well done), which led to a good natured shoot off resulting in Steve being declared the winner.

North Region Champions:-

Senior-Steve Leppington

Lady-Liz Shanks

Junior-Holly Pennington

Veteran-Steve Leppington

County Champions:-

Durham Champion and veterans was James Tones.

Lancashire Champion was J. Emmott with Holly Pennington taking ladies and juniors and Dave Hornby the veterans.

Northumberland Champion was Ed Common with Liz Shanks taking both ladies and veterans.

Yorkshire Champion and veterans was Steve Leppington.

Along with the main competition, Phil also put on a registered Esk which was well attended and it was nice to see some of our shooting colleagues from Cheshire attend.

Thanks to the ground and kitchen staff, well shot everybody.
