HELP FOR THE HEROES CHARITY SHOOT
The first of 2 charity shoots for Help for the Heroes took place on Monday 6 May 2013 when the 4th Nottinghamshire v Derbyshire Skeet Challenge match took place on a lovely sunny day at Nottingham Gun Club. Derbyshire have won this event for the last 2 years and came prepared to make it three in a row, which they duly went on to achieve. Congratulations to the Derbyshire shooters for such a great team performance.
The Nottinghamshire team can take some consolation with the performance of their younger shooters with both Isaac Crum and Matthew Jackson both posting cracking scores and hats off to Jessica Roe who posted the best score of the competition with a fabulous 99/100 score.
Thank You Ash Parfrement Skeet Manager
The second of the 2 charity shoots for Help for the Heroes took place on Sunday 12 May 2013, for the 4th year running the Nottinghamshire v Derbyshire DTL Challenge match took place at Nottingham & District Gun Club,
The day was very breezy, Dull, and rather Drizzly throughout.
Derbyshire won this event for the first time last year, and on the back of their Skeet win last week came full of confidence for a second victory in the DTL and make it two in a row, But the Nott’s DTL team pride was not to be outdone this time although outnumbered 17 to 26 the Class of the Nottinghamshire Trap shooters shone through with a outstanding win of 2911 points to 2873
The top ten Nott’s shooters scores are :-
Jody Clarke 298, Pete Armett 295, Ken Rimington 295,
Curtis Woolley 293, Andy Snell 292, Joe Booth 291,
Russ Hufton 289, George Lewis 288, Lee Clements 286
