The friendly DTL charity match against Derbyshire was held at Nottingham Gun Club on Sunday 31st March. With a cold wind coming in from the north, the targets and conditions were difficult and tested even the most experienced DTL shooters. Notts were thin on the ground only fielding the minimum number of ten whereas Derbyshire had twenty-five. The difference in numbers was to be our undoing and Derbyshire took the win 2773 to Nottinghamshire’s 2724. Top scorers for Notts were Russ Hufton 295, Paul Meakin 293, Lee Wilcoxson 289, Curtis Woolley 288 & Tony Clark 288. Over £500 was raised on the day for Help for Heroes, which added to funds raised from other events, gives a total of over £1000 to donate to the charity.
