Cheshire Skeet Shooter achieves 100 straight!

Cheshire CPSA - 6th March 2016 Nottingham & District Shooting Ground:

Cheshire Skeet Shooter achieves 100 straight!

Congratulations to Cheshire's Ian Cunliffe who shot 100 straight in today's English Skeet competition at Nottingham & District Shooting Ground!

In late 2014, both Ian and his partner Hazel Denney, decided to focus upon English Skeet (ESK) as their primary shooting discipline and after lots of very hard work and practice, today Ian hit the magic 100 straight - Well done Ian!

It would be rude not to mention Ian's achievement was closely followed by Hazel (who's currently No:8 UK Lady ESK shooter) who shot an amazing 98!

On achieving your first 100 straight, it is traditional to throw your hat high in the air down the shooting range (Health & Safety permitting) to let the squad join in the celebrations by 'putting a few rounds through it' see below for a before-and-after hat selfie :o)

Spot the difference? (he needed a new one anyway!)

Hazel and Ian practice regularly with other Cheshire Skeet shooters at the Fauxdegla Skeet Club on Saturday’s, if you’re new to clay shooting and want to learn to shoot English Skeet or simply wish to practice with a fun group of like-minded people, please come and join us.

More details can be found in the ESK Club section of this website.
