Cheshire ESK Shooters amazing achievements at the National ESK Inter-Counties Championships - Doveridge C.S.C, 16th October 2016:

The 2016 National ESK Inter-county (Team) Championships was very well attended with 32 squads representing the very best of England’s ESK Shooters.

We are more than delighted to announce that a Cheshire ESK Shooter, Christian Bethell, won the overall High Gun Trophy with the perfect score of 100 Straight!

This was even more amazing when Christian achieved this in poor conditions, shooting early in difficult, overcast light made worse by downpours, whereas other competitors who chose to shoot on Saturday and Sunday (p.m.) had the advantage of almost perfect weather to shoot in…

Overall Winner = Cheshire’s Christian Bethell - the only 100 straight in the championship!

Team Results:

Veteran’s = Runners-up (by a single target)

Seniors = Third place (only three targets off first place)

Ladies = Seventh place

Juniors = Third place

We'd also like to take this opportunity to wish a rapid recovery to our Bill Hope who couldn't make this years Nationals due to ill health, get well soon buddy!

Finally, we can proudly state that Cheshire is now a serious ESK County, challenging the country’s top ESK Shooters at the highest level and Winning - Major Knuckle Bumps All Round!!
