Cheshire Shooters lead the way in the first West Midland Inter-counties Championships of 2017!

If anyone was in doubt of the Cheshire Shooters ambitions for 2017, just check out the results of the recent West Midland (WM) All-Round Championships, the first of the WM Inter-counties Championships of the 2017 season…  For those of you who may be new to the sport, the All-Round discipline consists of 25ABT, 25ESK, 25ESP and 25DTL Single Barrel, requiring a mixture of skills, concentration and different shooting techniques to post a decent score and that is exactly what the Cheshire Shooters did on Sunday 30th April 2017 at a very windy Fauxdegla S.G.  This event combined the Cheshire A/R Championships, WM Area (Individual) A/R Championships and WM Inter-counties A/R Championships and we are pleased to announce the following results:-

WM I/C’s: Cheshire Seniors = Gold, Cheshire Ladies = Gold, Cheshire Veterans Red Team = Silver, Veterans Gold Team = Bronze, Cheshire Juniors = Bronze.

WM Area: Cheshire’s Hazel Denney = Ladies Gold, Brett Davies = Seniors Silver, Janet Gornall = Ladies Bronze.

Cheshire Championships: Brett Davies = High Gun and County Champion, Tony Dean/Steve Randles = Joint Silver awaiting a shoot-off, Colin Milton = Veteran Champion, Hazel Denney = Lady Champion, Fred Whitehurst = Junior Champion.

What a truly fantastic start to the Inter-counties competition season and a massive Well Done to all who competed in the event.
