Chairman’s End of Year Report

Cheshire CPSA AGM - Wed 5th February at Catton Hall, Adventure Cheshire, Bradley Lane, Frodsham, WA6 7EX.
Meet at 19:00 for a 19:30 start.

Dear Member(s)

Cheshire`s season this year has been an excellent one across the board with great results at County, West Midlands and National Inter Counties level in all disciplines and with great results not only in seniors and vets but also in juniors and ladies the future is looking bright. While there is still work to be done on numbers in some disciplines , the quality of shooting is at a high level. We are looking at initiatives for certain disciplines through the off season, there is alredy a fast trap one in place, details are at the bottom, please keep an eye on the keep an eye on the website for others. Fantastic turnouts for the majority of selection shoots and adding the the West Midlands Inter County Clubman event to our selection shoots for sporting in A, B and C class definitely had a positive effect on numbers, and the clubman event itself was an extraordinary success with great camaraderie and banter all day which was felt by all counties taking part, with everyone looking forward to next years event.

The committee has been working hard to make this year a good one and I would like to thank all the people involved on the committee for their time and energy and dedication that goes into putting the year together, all the people involved do this for the love of our sport and no gratification and I hope you the shooters appreciate their efforts, I certainly do, thank you!  I would like to thank all the shooters that took part in the selection shoots whether you were successful or not and to all the shooters that were successful for travelling to West Midlands and National Inter County events, thank you!

It was suggested that we might want to look at the selection process that we have in place at the moment and whether we can improve on what we have now. So we are asking that if anyone has any ideas to improve or change the selection process could they please put it in writing and return to the committee to look at and deliberate on.

We are also looking to fill one or two positions that are currently open on the committee, these will of course not be taken up until the Cheshire CPSA AGM at the beginning of next year, if you would consider helping on the committee please get in touch and have a chat with us. Contact details are on Cheshire CPSA website.
