Purbeck Shooting School

Tom Green on Purbeck Shooting School

Dorset only remaining sporting ground Purbeck Shooting School is now providing mid-week competitions, the first Wednesday in the month a Registered FITASC is provided, with targets by world champion course setter Graham Brown and his team.

The last Wednesday of the month a 100 registered sporting competition available with some testing sporting targets in the Dorset countryside.

Dorset CPSA committee member Tom Green has attend both events,  he reports that Purbeck has invested a lot a money in opening up other areas of the ground further into the woods and beyond which provides further shooting stands and a new set of challenges.
The back drop and target presentation is excellent and it must be one of the best grounds in the country to shoot sporting events at due the mix of terrain.

Our currently remaining ground is doing its best to support our shooters and the events are starting to be well attended.
Purbeck Shooting School is still continuing to resolve all the planning issues that they have been facing over last decade and it is a credit to Graham and Staff to provide events where possible.

The ground extension also will provide an excellent practice ground for the fourth coming European FITASC competition which will be held at Lulworth in June.
With a major event to be held in Dorset, hopefully the coverage in the media will hope to promote Dorset Shooting.
