New England Team Manager Named

RICHARD TAKES OVER AS MANAGER

I am pleased to formerly announce that Richard Hunter from Suffolk has been selected by the CPSA Management Board to represent England as its new Team Manager for English Sporting.

Richard has served on the Suffolk CPSA committee for a number of years and as one of his duties has been the Team Manager of Suffolk’s successful Sporting team. Such was Richards’s reputation for getting the best out of his team he was also invited to become the East Midlands Team Manager also for English Sporting, again Richards influence rubbed off and as Manager led the Region on to four Gold Medal performances taking a clean sweep of team titles at the British Championships. Richard had for a number of years set his sights on even higher levels by wanting to become the England Manager but could not dislodge the then Team Manager Tony Heeks whose record of achievement speaks for itself but now Tony who has been doing the job for about 15 years decided it was time to hang up his manager’s tracksuit and pass the mantle onto someone else.

Richard has already started to plan his first challenge for the England team which will be a trip to New Zealand where the England Team will compete in the World Federation Championships early next year although he does not officially take over till after the Home Internationals at Barrow Heath.

I’m sure you will join me in congratulating Richard on his appointment and wish him the very best of luck and also thank Tony Heeks and his wife Linda for their time, effort and commitment whilst performing this role over the years.
