Handicap By Distance Championship
Regional Handicap by Distance Championships I confess I know little of this discipline as I have never shot it and also its popularity seems confined to the North of the Country, but I plan to make the effort soon. Sorry I failed to get one of my regular correspondents to make the journey to Nottingham & District GC to give you the low down on the day’s proceedings but I did manage to get King Kenny to take a photo for me as I was away on National duty in the south of the Region. Lee Clements from Nott’s did enough with a score of 99/289 to take the Senior title, Dave Albans also from Nott’s took the vets version on 95/279 as did fellow junior Nott’s shooter “Fearless” Freddy Brown with a score of 91/271. Lincolnshire Lady Jackie Houghton broke the home County stranglehold on the shoot by taking the Ladies title on 94/270.
