Hello East Midlands Shooter

MAY NEWSLETTER

I’m happy to report its been once again a bumper month for attendances at our Championship Shoots, so far this season we are showing an increase of more than 170 attendees compared to like for like shoots last year. The attendances have certainly added a keen edge to the competition but it’s still not stopped some familiar faces making their way to the top of the pile, notably Lincs Junior Jack Wilkinson has already won three titles and fellow County shooter John Winn has also managed to win one Senior and two Vets titles after only four Championships.

To check out all the title winners over the last couple of months you can click on the link below to see who has been winning what.

MAY FIXTURES

This month we have something to suit just about everyone’s taste with three Championship shoots to whet the appetite, sadly because of the constraints of the annual fixtures calendar they all come over the same weekend but we hope this does not detract from your enjoyment and we hope you can make it along to at least one shoot this month.

We kick things off in May with the OLYMPIC SKEET this year back to its old haunt of Tythe Farm in Bedfordshire on SATURDAY MAY 7th, telephone bookings are preferred and you can contact Michael on 01582-873281 or if you prefer by Email at michael0452@tiscali.co.uk .

The next day SUNDAY MAY 8th we have two Championships, the first is the OLYMPIC TRAP which this year will be held at a new location for us namely the Beverley Clay Target Centre in Yorkshire. Telephone entries for this Championship are now being taken, to secure your place contact Alison Dupree on 01964-551134 or if you prefer by Email at alison.dupree@sbblaw.com .

The same day SUNDAY MAY 8th we have the ENGLISH SPORTING at Grange Farm which is just a five minute journey off the M1. No need to book on for this one as entries are on the day from 9-30am until 1pm and on top of the trophies and medals there’s a more than respectable £150 High Gun on offer. Breakfast’s are served all day and are one of the best in the region, but make sure you save some space for a piece of Diane’s cake at the end; it’s worth the entry fee alone.

Well that’s just about it for this month but if already you are thinking about the summer months and what shooting we have in the region you can check out the fixtures by clicking on the link below.
