Dear East Midlands Shooter

First of all a Happy New Year to you all and I hope you had an enjoyable Christmas and it’s been really good to see some of you lately at your own AGM’s.

After a couple of months rest we are back into the competitions in just over a months’ time when we kick off the season with the ABT at Nottingham & District on March 4^th ,you can book on now or just turn up, entries are between 9-30 & 10-30am.

Some of the observant and well informed amongst you will be interested to know that the East Midlands have been given permission to run a system whereby you don’t have to ref, score or run the abacus at this ABT event, with all that done by the fully trained ground staff. After a lot of consultation it appears that many of you just want to shoot and not have the responsibility of scoring, so if you think it is a great idea come along and have a go and support the region.

East Midlands Region AGM & Season Ticket Draw

The region closes the door on last year and officially welcomes the 2012 season on February 27^th at the Bell Inn at Stilton with a 7-30pm start. In attendance that night will be our CEO Nick Fellows, and also CPSA Chairman Terry Bobbett, so if there is anything you wish to ask, well now is your ideal opportunity, come along and have your say.

There will also be several presentations along with the draw for the 2012 Season Ticket as once again in conjunction with this year’s hosting grounds we are giving away £750 of Free Shooting to one lucky individual, all you have to do is Email me at [email protected] stating your name, CPSA number & County. Some of you that entered last year have not yet entered for this year, but you still have time as the closing date is Feb 26^th, so come on get your entries in !!

EAST MIDLANDS SUPREME CHAMPIONSHIP

The region always keen to give the shooter something extra have launched a new competition, the East Midlands Supreme Championship and it will be kindly sponsored by Carl Smith of Nottingham & District Gun Club.

Over the course of the season shooters will be able to accumulate points at five of our Championship shoots, they are English Sporting (Normanton), ABT, All Round & DTL (Nottingham) and English Skeet (Northampton). You don’t need to enter or register for the competition; all entrants for the events listed will be automatically entered, we will collate all the scores and a scoreboard will be posted on the East Mids website.

Don’t forget the first round of this is only next month on March 4^th at Nottingham where we will be shooting the ABT.

The categories and prizes for the Supreme Championship are as follows;

Overall East Midlands Supreme Champion – Cup/Trophy – 500 Cartridges – Cloth Badge

Senior East Midlands Supreme Champion – 250 Cartridges – Cloth Badge

Ladies East Midlands Supreme Champion – 250 Cartridges – Cloth Badge

Veteran East Midlands Supreme Champion – 250 Cartridges – Cloth Badge

Junior East Midlands Supreme Champion – 250 Cartridges – Cloth Badge
