Regions DTL Shooters Fly The Flag
Regions DTL Shooters Fly The Flag.
Last Sunday (June 17th) saw the end of the DTL Weekend at Bywell and it was a chance for our regional DTL Team to prove its worth against the country’s top trap shooters.
Team Manager Janet Stennett fielded a full complement of shooters in all team categories and we had a certain amount of success.
Our Ladies team of Emma Wheeldon (296), Sarah Tyers (287) and Leanne Palmer (275) finished with a team score of 583/600 to win the Inter Region Ladies Team title, runners up The North Region were some 15 points back. Many congratulations must also go to Emma for winning the English Open Ladies title.

Our juniors consisting of Curtis Woolley (282), Joe Booth (282) and George Lewis (279) finished just one point in front of the North Region with a team score of 564/600 to win the Inter Region Junior Team title. Also many congratulations this time to George for coming Runner up in the Colts Class.

Our senior team came very close to toppling the impressive North Region Seniors going down by a slender six points, Mark Shaw (296), Shane Smith (296), Russ Hufton (292), Frank Welham (291) & Lee Clements (286) the leading lights for the East Midlands.
The only disappointing news being the Veterans team finished third of the three.
Finally many thanks to all our shooters for taking part, and many congratulations to those that tasted success over the weekend and qualified to shoot for England later in the year.
