Regional ZZ Helice

Kevin Wants ZZ Boundary Fences to Be Made Higher

The weather forecast was for a wet and windy day but the reality was that it was shot in some lovely sunshine which gave way to driving rain about five minutes after the competition ended - perfect timing!

21 shooters were in competition but only five of these were from the East Midlands, four from Cambridgeshire and one from Lincolnshire.

Kevin Flitton shot an excellent 19 ex 20 to win both the East Midlands and Cambridgeshire titles, the one that got away was successfully broken but landed on the wrong side of the fence, and Kevin says he would like a higher fence next time! The East Midlands and Cambridgeshire Veterans' winner was Rod Gifford, who faithfully supports as many County & Regional Championships as he can, and the East Midlands Regional and Cambridgeshire Ladies' title went to Michele Conway.

Many thanks to Rugby and District Trap Club; John Nightingale and his team hosted the shoot with their usual efficiency and hospitality.

Many thanks to Michele Conway for taking the time to file this report, and also taking the helm by presenting the medals and trophies.
