EAST MIDLANDS CPSA NEWSLETTER SEPT 2012

Good Morning All

It’s hard to believe that once again the competition season is almost at an end, the regional Championships are all done and dusted and its now down to Intercounties team honours to be fought over. The last two years have seen Team Suffolk take the major title of the Directors Trophy and they will be keen to make it three in a row. Lincolnshire cleaned up in the ABT and has taken an early lead, but its early days yet with other counties historically fielding strong sides in some of the other disciplines.

Whilst on the subject of Intercounties, I am pleased to announce that as from next year there will be a National Intercounties All Round event, so keep an eye out for that one.

Congratulations to our trio of winners at the ZZ Helice, Michele Conway, Rod Gifford and the overall winner Kevin Flitton all of which are from Cambridgeshire. Also many congratulations to our skeet shooters who did us proud at the British Open recently held at Nottingham winning the Ladies and Veterans team titles, we tied for first in the juniors and our seniors suffered at the hands of a very strong North team but still ran them very close.

Final congratulations this month to Joy Hirons from Leicestershire who scored the perfect ton last week at Northampton in a registered Skeet competition.

A quick reminder that in next month’s Pull magazine will be details of the East Midlands Directorship, my three years are up and I will be standing again but I welcome any challenge for that position, there is also a vacancy for National Director and I urge anyone that feels they can or would like to make a difference then please apply.

I look forward to seeing many of you at the Intercounties shoots next month, details below for all those. You don’t have to be shooting for your County to enter any of these but I would encourage you to book on as many will be very busy
