Hat-trick for Jane!

Jane Bell won three Gold Medals at the East Midlands Helice/ZZ championships held at Rugby and District Trap Club on Saturday May 25th - on a lovely sunny day with a biting cold and blustery wind making the targets interesting and challenging!

There was a total of 17 entries, four of which were from East Midlands and these four were all from Cambridgeshire. In challenging conditions both Kevin Flitton the defending Champion and Jane Bell a former Champion both managed to score an impressive 17 out of 20 in the blustery wind.

A shoot-off was held which, after a series of draws and some excellent shooting, went to single target sudden-death which was won by Jane. Jane won the East Midlands title overall as well as taking the Ladies' and Veterans' titles. Many congratulations to Jane who has also recently won the European Ladies' Helice title.

The East Midlands committee would like to thank John Nightingale and his staff for agreeing to host our Helice championship. The organisation and hospitality were excellent,as always at Rugby.
