Hi All

The eagle eyed amongst you may have realised that no newsletter was sent out last month. Sadly I had two family losses to cope with and everything just got put on the back burner for a few weeks, but life moves on and I am back on track as they say.

I just want to give you a couple of snippets of regional news before I tell you about the fixtures for the month. Firstly we have to say goodbye to our regional Minutes Secretary Julia Fell, Julia has been in this position for about three years now, but an increase in workload means she has less time on her hands. We thank her for her time and efforts and look forward to seeing her at Nottingham in the future. Hazel Whiten will now fill this role.

Secondly, as from last Sunday I have stood down from my position of Regional Director. I had held that position for the last three or four years, and in that time I have met some great people who have been very appreciative of my efforts. It is now time for me to move on and wish my successor all the very best, thank you to you all for your support.

Ok…moving on and taking a look at the June fixtures, we have something for just about everyone.

On Saturday June 1^st and Sunday 2^nd the England Sporting selection shoot comes to the region at Orston. You may not know that Orston is now rated as a Premier Plus Ground and can cater for seven disciplines. Visitors can enjoy a modern club house providing refreshments and a shop to purchase all your shooting related needs.

Saturday is squaded and you can if you want book on, 01949 851181. On Sunday you can just pitch up and pay as normal as there will be a trapper on all 13 stands.

SAT NAV Directions – Bottesford Lane, Orston. NG13 9NX, this will take you about 200 yards from the ground, so you may have to drive a bit further to find the ground, but it is well signposted.

On Sunday June 2^nd it’s the next round of the East Mids Supreme Championship and the Regional DTL all rolled into one. Once again held at Nottingham & DGC this event is always hotly contested and well attended. Bookings are now being taken on 01623-883798.

The following week Sunday 9^th June we have the Regional Skeet Doubles Championship held at Northampton Shooting Ground. You can if you want book on by calling Martine on 01604- 781741.

That’s it for this month, but a quick reminder that the Intercounties shoots get underway next month at Northampton on July 7^th with the Skeet, this will be very busy and I would suggest you get booked on now.
