Keith Cross Wins Regions All Rounder
Regional All Round Champion - Keith Cross (Northants)
Keith Cross part of the legendary Northants Dream Team from yesteryear swept to victory in the Regional All Round at Northampton at the weekend., and It must have been doubly pleasing for Keith as it was not that long ago he was suffering from heart problems, and he was doubtful if he would shoot again of if he could, he was concerned he wouldn’t be able to once again achieve his own high standards.
Keith’s score of 90 was two clear of next best and Regional Supreme Champion from last year Chris Morris, I’m sure the points he achieved here will also go a long way in seeing him defend his title for 2013.
Third and bronze medal winner and just a target behind Chris was Glen Moore from Bedfordshire.
In Ladies Sarah Christensen of Cambridgeshire was way in front of nearest challenger J Clark from Bedfordshire, Sarah collected the gold and J Clark won her first ever regional medal.
In Vets it was great to see a regular regional supporter coming out on top, Spencer Basham from Suffolk doing the business to take the title with a great score of 87.
John Stanton from Bedfordshire another regional regular finished a couple of clays behind on 85 to take the silver, and Northants man Martin Ferris secured the bronze.
In Juniors Josh Pearson from Cambridgeshire continued his good run by taking the Gold medal with a superb 88, not only that he claimed the scalp of Cambs team mate Taylor Hedgecock, which is no mean feat, Henry Collins from Northants completed the placing’s by winning the bronze.
