It’s Rachel at the Double

The 2014 season kicked off last weekend at Beverley CTC with the Double Trap regional Championships.

Rachel Parish from Nottinghamshire one of the region’s top Double Trap shooters was once again in the medals as she repeated her 2011 triumphs by winning the overall and Ladies title with some fantastic shooting. Rachel finished the day well clear of her nearest regional rival scoring 121 ex 150.

Martin Doughty from Nottinghamshire won the Veterans on 102 and jack Wilkinson from Lincolnshire the Junior title on 97.

15 shooters took part in the event which started off with calm conditions, but by the third round the wind had picked up and it became very blustery, but luckily for all concerned the rain held off as the final shots rang out.
