ANOTHER WINNING WEEK FOR THE REGION

Over the last few days the British Open Sporting Championships & the British Open Sportrap have been played out at Steve & Ally Lovatt’s ground Garlands’ and regional shooters have been there in their numbers to fight over individual and team glory.

Once again under the leadership of the England Team Manager Richard Hunter of Suffolk, the region performed a clean sweep of all the inter-regional team titles. This is the latest of a long line of clean sweeps and last night Richard and I struggled to recall when exactly the region last failed to win a team title at sporting.

All the individual scores are printed below, but in a nutshell the seniors recorded a team score of 533/600, 35 points in front of the Northern region. Our juniors recorded a score of 207/240 to finish 22 points clear, the ladies scored 173/240 to win by 15 points and the vets not to be out done finished on 201/240 to win by 29 points.
