TRACEY BRIDGE

TRACEY BRIDGE – LINCOLNSHIRE

In my role as the Regional Secretary I often have the pleasant duty of reporting on the wonderful achievements our shooters have made, and one such person that always seemed to be in the headlines was popular Lincolnshire shooter Tracey Bridge.

Throughout her shooting career Tracey not only won many trophies, titles and medals, but won the hearts of everyone she came into contact with. Fighting back the tears and trying to read the many tributes to Tracey, two words become very apparent, smile and laughter, and spending just a few moments in Tracey’s company you could not help but be affected and find yourself laughing and joking as Tracey’s infectious smile always shone through, and turned a disappointing day into a reason to smile and have a laugh about it.

At moments such as these glowing tributes always come flooding out, but I doubt there are words possible to describe the grief we all feel over Tracey’s sad and untimely death, she truly was one in a million and will be sadly missed by all.

I recall the first time I met Tracey many years ago, we laughed endlessly and I walked away smiling inside feeling I had known Tracey many years, but that was just the way she was. She always had time for you, offering words of consolation and advice, and she was always one of the first to share and rejoice in your own personal achievements.

She always greeted you with that smile, a kiss and a cuddle, and at the end of the day she always left you wanting more of her company, and I would always look forward to going to shoots when I knew Tracey and Steve would be there, sit down with a brew and just laugh the afternoon away.

I cannot imagine the sense of loss Steve can be feeling right now, and nothing I or anyone else could say could ease that pain, but I just want you to know everyone loved Tracey, how could they not, she was a wonderful lady, and when you feel able we are all here for you.

God bless you Tracey, sleep tight, I just wish I could cuddle you one last time x

For anyone wishing to pay their respects, the funeral will be held on Monday 24th July at 10-30am at Lincoln Crematorium, Washingborough Road, LN4 1EF.
