DTL TRIUMPH FOR REGIONAL TEAM

For many years the Regional teams from the East Midlands have enjoyed success in every discipline, except one, DTL where we have had the occasional victory in Juniors or Ladies, but we haven’t been able to break the stranglehold held by the North in the Senior team category for longer than we care to remember.

In recent years the East Midlands shooters have put in some sterling efforts, and we have got closer and closer, but the North has always held the nap hand with us. So, it gives me great pleasure to be able to report that our Senior Team has finally got their noses in front and taken the Senior Inter Regional Team title at the DTL Weekend. We would have reported this sooner but early reports coming out of Bywell were that we had once again fallen agonisingly close and it came as a great surprise that I received confirmation of the victory just before I took off on my holidays.

So, its many congratulations to Team Manager Dick Hails from Suffolk and the East Midlands DTL Team, but we weren’t finished there as our Junior Team also took the team prize.
