REGIONAL ABT CHAMPIONSHIPS

East Midlands Regional ABT Championship

Held at Nottingham & District Gun Club

Sunday 24th July

Well at last the weather had cooled off but the wind had picked up and with a cloudy sky we thought the targets may be a little tricky today.

But we were wrong and very early some fantastic scores started to fill the boards and with PBs being broken, it was going to be a super competitive event.

As the last squads rolled in, we had three tied on 96/100 to shoot off for overall High Gun 1st /2nd/3rd as well as 1st and 2nd in Veterans and 2nd /3rd in Ladies.

After the first full round 3rd overall and the lady’s places had been decided it was down to sudden death for HG and second overall.

But as the dust settled and the winds calmed overall High Gun went to Allen Warren, second place Patrick Dickman third was Jack Brazier.

In the lady’s, High Gun was Hazel Morris, second Elena Taylor, followed in third by Saira Boardman.

The Veteran’s title went to Allen Warren followed by Pat Dickman, and in third place Robert Flowers.

The junior title was taken by Jack Brazier followed by William Gilbert, and in third place was Joe Turner after improving his last competition score by 18 clays.

There was a strong turn out today with 68 entries and a great atmosphere as always, congratulations and thanks to all that took part, and well done to Team Nottingham for a great event.
