East Midlands Skeet Championships 2025

EAST MIDLANDS CPSA SKEET CHAMPIONSHIPS

Our second Championship of the season this time hosted by Eriswell Lodge with the English Skeet title the order of the day.

42 shooters were in attendance and although a nice enough day in terms of sunshine a stiff breeze was the curse of any shooter fancying a big score adding a sporting type feeling to any well-presented clay.

Claiming the Regional title was Adan Hallybone from Cambs who top scored on a well-earned 97 in trying conditions. The silver and bronze positions were shared by Tom Clifford of Notts and Philip Barnard of Cambs who were locked together on 96 and it was going to take a lengthy shoot off to separate the pair. A full round of 25 still couldn’t separate the pair with one target escaping both shooters and it was to take a sudden death shoot off to finally see Tom claim second place and Philip having to settle for third.

In the Ladies it was a multiple former Champion Alison Coupe from Norfolk who took the honours well clear of Lincs shooter Liz MacGreggor White who in turn was clear of third place finisher and county teammate Nicola Mason.

In Vets two shooters topped the pile on 92, Jem Knight and Pete Cook both from Cambs but sadly when a shoot off was called Pete Cook had left the ground leaving Jem to take the title uncontested, with a former Champion Doug Moore from Lincs third on 91.

Unfortunately, there were no shooters to contest the Junior category.

As always, we would like to take the opportunity to thank all shooters for their continued support of the region and of course to Mellisa & Stuart and all the staff and referees at Eriswell Lodge for the flawless running of the event.
