Single Barrel 2025
Sunday 20th April 2025
East Midlands Single Barrel Regional Championships
Well, a cold but dry day with a northerly wind greeting shooters on Sunday morning making it a bit more testing as well as taking one barrel away from the competitors which is always a challenge.
With a fair turnout for Single Barrel the competitors took to the layouts and gave it their all, with the first squads experiencing the worst of the wind and the dull conditions.
Later shooters were treated with the more favourable conditions as the sun made an appearance and the temperature rose, and the scores started to increase up into the 90’s
Youth held out in the end with Josh Kind from Leicestershire putting a lovely 95/100 together taking both the Overall and Junior titles, and Ken Rimington from Notts with his new eyes was back amongst it taking the Veterans title on a 92/100.
There was a good showing of 7 shooters in the Ladies category and the scores were tight, but Nicola Mason from Lincs held on to the win with a super 79/100.
Thank you to everyone that supported the East Midlands today without you guys and girls some of these disciplines will fall by the wayside.
Congratulations to all the winners and thank you once again to “Team Nottingham” for a cracking day’s competition.
