The East Midlands CPSA Sporting Championship was held at Barrow Sporting Clays on Saturday 5th July, attracting 214 entries for a highly competitive day of Sporting targets.

What started as a mild day soon heated up, much like the competition itself, as shooters battled it out for the East Midlands titles.

The championship proved incredibly close, with five shooters finishing on an impressive score of 93. A three-way shoot-off was required to determine the East Midlands Champion, with William Reeve holding his nerve to claim both the East Midlands Sporting Champion title and High Gun honours.

Archie Alexander finished Runner-up, with Ashley Shuckford taking third place following the shoot-off.

Veterans

• Champion – Mark Bowes (89)
• Runner-up – Andrew Harvison (87)*
• Third – Mark Warton (87)*

Juniors

• Champion – Archie Alexander (93)
• Runner-up – Maximus Allen (89)*
• Third – Seth Peters (89)*

*Second and third places in both the Veterans and Junior categories were tied on score, with the final placings determined by countback in accordance with East Midlands CPSA rules.
