EAST MIDLANDS UNIVERSAL TRENCH

HELD AT RUGBY & DISTRICT GUN CLUB

ON SUNDAY, 16TH MAY 2021

A lovely warm, calm, spring day with lovely blue skies giving great visibility greeted a big turnout of 55 entries for the East Midlands Universal Trench.  This entry is nearly a record and the best since 2012 so competition was stiff.  Our very own Jack Wilkinson claimed top spot wiith a stunning score of 98.  Close on his heels was ex-Lincolnshire shooter, DIck Fletton (now emigrated to Northamptonshire) with a score of 97.  With such a big entry Jack had to be on top form to win and he did not disappoint, scoring 25, 24, 25, and 24.

This event is not well patronised by Lincolnshire shooters so the competition came from shooters from other counties in the region but a couple of Lincolnshire shooters who put in some good scores were Steve Parker on 87 and John Stephenson on 78.
