KIM'S "ALL ROUND" CHARITY SHOOT
HELD AT
EAST OF ENGLAND SHOOTING GROUND
ON SATURDAY 19TH MARCH
Whilst most of us were relaxing over the Christmas period Kim Burrell was hatching a plan to put together a charity shoot which would benefit the charity MIND and the Lincolnshire CPSA. The competition was to be 25 DTL, 25 Skeet, 25 sportrap and 25 sporting so not a completely conventional All Round but the dropping of ABT was probably no loss in the minds of most and certainly made it more enjoyable for those trying the discipline for the first time.
East of England Shooting Ground and their course setter, John Lee, were fully behind it and provided all their facilities which made it a very friendly venue for this event to take place. A high gun prize of £100 was up for grabs as was a high gun prize of £60 for Young Farmers. As a non-registered event anyone could take part so we hope that a few more people may have caught the competitive shooting bug and we look forward to seeing them again at the Lincolnshire sporting championship to be held on 1st May.
The score board shows how varied the scores were but a superb score of 91 from Mark Bowes made it a profitable day for him as he took home the high gun prize and Kallum Burrell's score of 80 gave him the Young Farmers high gun prize.
Thanks to all those who sponsored the event and supported it with raffle prizes. Thanks also to Kim and her team for a job well done. A massive £960 was raised so this was quite an achievement.
