held at Southend Gun Club on

Only twelve entries for this event held at Southend gun club, as it clashed with

a selection shoot in South Wales.

 

The weather was very sunny with a gusty westerly wind which played havoc with

high birds as they were being pushed into the ground,

even so everybody enjoyed the day.

 

Phil Butcher from Gtr London shot a credible 24 on his first round missing the

low target

from his first pair on station 4,this was followed by 22, 20

and finally 21 with a total of 87/100,

J.Burden from Surrey was close on his heels with 20,23,23,20,

totalling 86/100 both shooters with 66 after three rounds meant

a tense final round to decide the champion.

 

Phil Butcher ended with 21 while J Burden ended with 20 only one target

deciding the champion.

Congratulations to Phil Butcher this years SE of England Champion.
