2022 English Sporting Championship

Bedfordshire Sporting Championship 2022.

The County Sporting Championships were held at Sporting Targets on Monday 2nd May alongside the Martin Scoley Memorial Shoot. Shot over 100 sporting targets on 13 stands to see who would become County Champion 2022.

This year we had 39 Beds shooters with 23 Seniors, 3 ladies, 1 colt & 12 vets.

Jason Brockett took HG with a fantastic 96, Steve Leonard and Gary Hamilton were Runner up with 91.

Becky Clifton shot a personal best of 90 for the ladies HG, with Chelsea King Runner Up on 78 & Zoe Bruce 3rd on 77.

David Grayson shot a great 91 to take the Veterans title with Bert Mason Runner up on 85, with Trevor Sharpe & Jim Munday joint 3rd with 82.

Reece Stafferton was our colt who shot 72, someone to keep our eye on!

Thanks to you all for shooting the championship, it was great to see so many people at the shoot see you at the inter-counties.

Martin Scoley Memorial Shoot

Martin was a well known and popular shooter from Bedfordshire, shooting for the County, so its no surprise that the shoot was well attended from many shooters from out of the county, Lee Phillips drew with Jason Brockett on 96 to draw and get their names on Martins Cup, Mark Stevenson was runner up on 95, thanks to all those who came along to remember Martin.

See you all next year.

Ian Clifton Trophy

On the same day the conclusion of the Clifton Trophy was held, we used a different format this year and used a points system and this gave us this year’s winner, Stephen Smith, well done Stephen a worthy winner.
