EAST MIDS CPSA NEWSLETTER MARCH 2012
Dear East Midlands Shooter
Well here we go again for another season of competition shooting and you can once again expect some great competitions in all disciplines. All the fixtures for the year are fixed and you can find a full list of these in this month’s Pull magazine and also on the East Midlands website.
A couple of bits of news before I tell you about this month’s fixtures, first of all we held the East Mids AGM on Monday and it was good to see a healthy turnout. For those of you that couldn’t be there you will hopefully be pleased to hear that all the officers, namely Janet Stennett (Chair), Carl Smith (Deputy Chair), Colin Butler (General Secretary), Paul Stennett (Treasurer) and Julia Fell (Minutes Secretary) were all re-elected unopposed.
Congratulations to Graham Cave of Suffolk who won the Season Ticket draw.
A full report on the AGM can be found here;

Secondly, I have been a Director for your region now for just over two years, and in that time I have learnt an awful lot about our Association and how it is run. I would hope in that time you will have seen how committed I am in representing the East Midlands, this is an unpaid position yet I give many hours and miles travelling, striving to make our region something for us all to be proud of.
In that time I have realised that much more could be done in making the CPSA into an organisation that our members deserve, better administration, bigger and better national competitions that are well organised and sponsored, more value for money in terms of your membership package, greater clarity and a better level of communication with shooters and grounds, and a greater willingness by the organisation to consult and take on board members views.
It is with all this in mind that I have decided to stand for election as the CPSA National Chairman at the forthcoming National AGM to be held at the Holiday Inn at Crick on the 31st March 2pm. If you can make it I would be very grateful for your support but if not you can still assign your vote to someone who is, these proxy votes have to be registered 48 hours before the AGM.
