The County ABT Championship was held at Nottingham Gun Club on Sunday 15th September 2019. The targets were looking good and the weather was for the most part very kind.

Rob Denoon set the early target of 94 shooting on the very first squad and it looked like it would be a tough score to beat. A couple of squads later both darren Watkinson & Mick Feather went toe to toe. Darren shooting his first and last rounds straight and Mick putting a lovely 50 straight together in the middle of the competition. The pair both finished with 95, which was to be the highest score from our county shooters so a shoot off was required to settle the High Gun Title.

Darren managed 24 to Mick's 18 which gave Darren another County Championship title to add to his DTL crown from earlier in the year. Mick took the consolation of the Veteran's HG. Karen Donnelly picked up the Lady HG with a tidy 70. Oliver Sampson added to his recent collection of county trophies with the Junior HG scoring 89, and Matt Hall rounded of the categories by winning the Colts with an impressive 86.

In the classes Rob Denoon won A with his 94, Peter Armett won B Class on 83, Adrian Snell collected C Class with 91 and Elvin Lawson took D Class on 85.
