Nottingham GC was the venue for the Double Rise Championship on Sunday 23^rd September. It was a chilly and windy day with the wind getting even more challenging as the day progressed. Elvin Lawson amassed a huge score of 90, consistently scoring 45 on each of the 2 layouts and it was a score that no one else would get close to so he very deservedly received the County High Gun Title. Our next placed shooter was Darren Watkinson with 79 who won A Class, Lee Clements won B Class with 73 and Mike Chiakli won C Class with 59. Ken Rimington won the Vets HG but there were no Juniors or Ladies at this event. Thanks to Carl & the team at Nottingham for a well-run event.
